This is why, once the unit is being plugged into the vehicle, it will begin to drive at a specific speed, for a specific distance and in optimal weather conditions. The manufacturer specifies all these important details.
Static ADAS Calibration
For the static ADAS Calibration, the vehicle doesn't need to be in motion, and the service can be performed while the car is parked in place. This type of calibration requires a large space and specific equipment, which is why it is always done in a specialized auto workshop. The tools used for static ADAS calibration use a series of specific targets that the sensors must be able to read to recalibrate accurately. The vehicle needs to be placed at a specific distance from the targets. The targets' height also needs to be adjusted.
